As per my email just sent to b.english@ministers.govt.nz, I believe it should be illegal to advertise goods and finance in the same advertisement. Get rid of "Buy now, pay later" and make people think about the cost to themselves and the country of borrowing to buy discretionary goods. Such a law wont hurt too much but it could potentially help to solve a huge part of our financial inefficiency.
